Our Philosophy

Farming produces food for the body, gardening sustenance for the soul. To reach this stage we need to ensure that all elements of the environment are working together in the most healthy way possible. While not registered Organic, we eschew the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides, and encourage birds and insects into the farm and garden to pollinate and predate. To this end we grow species favourable to nature. On the farm we have planted new hedges for shelter and nourishment, and established areas of wildflowers. Tussocky corners and hedge bottoms provide scope for small mammals.
